The Commission Members
The Universities Act provides for 7 members of the Commission appointed by H.E. The President. These are:
- Prof. S V D G Samaranayake - Chairman
- Prof. Ranjith Senaratne - Vice Chairman
- Prof. Carlo Fonseka - Commission Member
- Prof. Rohan Rajapakse - Commission Member
- Prof. S K Sitrampalam - Commission Member
- Prof. S B S Abayakoon - Commission Member
- Vidyajyothi Professor H Janaka De Silva - Commission Member
The following attend the meetings of the Commission but are not members and do not vote:
- W R V G G Samarasiri - Treasury Representative who advises the Commission on funds
- Tissa Nandasena - Secretary to the Commission
