Famous quotes containing the words ships, named and/or navy:

“Oh, let me midlife mourn by the shrined
    And druid herons’ vows
The voyage to ruin I must run,
    Dawn ships clouted aground,
Yet, though I cry with tumbledown tongue,
    Count my blessings aloud....”
    —Dylan Thomas (1914–1953)

“There was a young lady named Bright,
Who traveled much faster than light.”
    —Arthur Buller (1874–1944)

“Give me the eye to see a navy in an acorn. What is there of the divine in a load of bricks? What of the divine in a barber’s shop or a privy? Much, all.”
    —Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
