Famous quotes containing the words road and/or cycling:

O Russia! O my wife! Our long and narrow Road lies clear though distressed.
Our road with an old Tatar freedom’s arrow Has deeply pierced our breast.
    Alexander Blok (1880–1921)

So are the Bloomers. Nothing more abominable has ever been invented. Perhaps the automobile tricycles may succeed better, but I abjure all these works of the devil.
    Henry Brooks Adams (1838–1918)
