The United Nations Federal Credit Union was originally incorporated in 1947. It currently has a membership of more than 88,000 members in 212 countries and territories spanning six continents, assets in excess of US$3.1 billion and employs a staff of 350 at its new headquarters in Long Island City, established in 2006.
United Nations Federal Credit Union maintains two branch offices at United Nations Headquarters in New York City as well as its own representative offices at major UN duty stations (Geneva, Vienna, Nairobi and Rome). Smaller UN duty stations are served by Liaison Representatives, who are volunteer members providing information on United Nations Federal Credit Union products & services.
