Line of CPI(M) On The United Front

The Central Committee of the CPI(M) met in Calcutta between April 10 and April 16, 1967. At the meeting the line towards the United Front governments in West Bengal and Kerala was discussed. A the strategy approved by the meeting outlined that "The UF government that we now have are to be treated and understood as instruments of struggle in the hands of our people, more than as Governments that actually possess adequate power, that can materially and substantially give relief to the people. In clear class terms our party's participation in such governments is one specific forms of struggle to win more and more people and more and more allies for the proletariat."

Famous quotes containing the words line, united and/or front:

Michelangelo said to Pope Julius II, “Self negation is noble, self-culture is beneficent, self-possession is manly, but to the truly great and inspiring soul they are poor and tame compared to self-abuse.” Mr. Brown, here, in one of his latest and most graceful poems refers to it in an eloquent line which is destined to live to the end of time—”None know it but to love it, None name it but to praise.”
Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (1835–1910)

Hollywood ... was the place where the United States perpetrated itself as a universal dream and put the dream into mass production.
    Angela Carter (1940–1992)

In front of that sinner of a husband,
    she rattled off
    only those words
that her pack of vile-tongued girlfriends
    taught her
    as fast as she could,
    and after,
    began to behave
at the Love-god’s beck and call.
    It’s indescribable,
    this natural, charming
    path of love,
    paved with the gems
    of inexperience.
    Amaru (c. seventh century A.D.)
