Ways To Invest

In the UK Units can be bought direct from the fund manager, held through a nominee account or through an ISA (individual savings account).

From the 1 January 1987 to 5 April 1999 it was also possible to invest via a PEP (personal equity plan) however these were discontinued and all PEP accounts automatically became stocks and shares ISAs on 6 April 2008. See http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/stats/peps/pep_b_1.htm for details.

Famous quotes containing the words ways to, ways and/or invest:

One of the best ways to persuade others is with your ears—by listening to them.
    Dean Rusk (b. 1909)

Separated lovers cheat absence by a thousand fancies which have their own reality. They are prevented from seeing one another and they cannot write; nevertheless they find countless mysterious ways of corresponding, by sending each other the song of birds, the scent of flowers, the laughter of children, the light of the sun, the sighing of the wind, and the gleam of the stars—all the beauties of creation.
    Victor Hugo (1802–1885)

Just as we need to encourage women to test life’s many options, we need to acknowledge real limits of energy and resources. It would be pointless and cruel to prescribe role combination for every woman at each moment of her life. Life has its seasons. There are moments when a woman ought to invest emotionally in many different roles, and other moments when she may need to conserve her psychological energies.
    Faye J. Crosby (20th century)
