The Union City Greyhounds were a summer collegiate baseball team based in Union City, Tennessee. The team, which played in the KIT League played its home games in Elam Stadium at LH Ladd Field, located in Union City, Tennessee.
The Union City Greyhounds were managed by a Board of Directors, and daily management overseen by Bill "Rat" Harrison, General Manager and Stephen Crockett, Director of Baseball Operations. The coaching staff was directed by Harris-Stowe State University head coach Jonathan Estes and Curtis Burkehalter of Northwestern State. The team, as of the 2010 season, is now inactive. A major reason for this was disagreement between management on the direction of the team and the franchise.

Famous quotes containing the words union, city and/or greyhounds:
“My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave, I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves, I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone, I would also do that.”
—Abraham Lincoln (18091865)
“A wholly materialistic city is nothing but a dream incarnate. Venice is the worlds unconscious, a misers glittering hoard, guarded by a Beast whose eyes are made of white agate, and by a saint who is really a prince who has just slain a dragon.”
—Mary McCarthy (19121989)
“Trees appeared in groups and singly, revolving coolly and blandly, displaying the latest fashions. The blue dampness of a ravine. A memory of love, disguised as a meadow. Wispy cloudsthe greyhounds of heaven.”
—Vladimir Nabokov (18991977)
