Famous quotes containing the words underwood, typewriter and/or company:

    For winter’s rains and ruins are over,
    And all the seasons of snows and sins;
    The days dividing lover and lover,
    The light that loses, the night that wins;
    And time remembered is grief forgotten,
    And frosts are slain and flowers begotten,
    And in green underwood and cover
    Blossom by blossom the spring begins.
    —A.C. (Algernon Charles)

    Oh demon within,
    I am afraid and seldom put my hand up
    to my mouth and stitch it up
    covering you, smothering you
    from the public voyeury eyes
    of my typewriter keys.
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)

    People who abhor solitude may abhor company almost as much.
    Mason Cooley (b. 1927)
