Ulmus Minor 'Purpurascens'
The putative Field Elm Ulmus minor sensu latissimo cultivar 'Purpurascens' was listed by Lavallée in Arb. Segrez. 236, 1877, as U. campestris var. purpurascens, but without description, and later by Schneider in Ill. Handb. Laubh. 1: 220, 1904. Krüssmann in Handb. Laubgeh. 2: 540, 1962, identified it as a cultivar. See also Ulmus 'Atropurpurea'.
