Ukrainian Super Cup (Ukrainian: Суперкубок України) acts as the grand-opening for every new football competition season in Ukraine, officially having the winners of the previous season's Ukrainian Championship and Ukrainian Cup face-off against each other. On four occasions when the national cup was won by a national champion, it was challenged by the next best performers of league or cup competitions. From 2008 through 2012 it carries name Inter Super Cup of Ukraine.
