Layout
Originally, there were a side platform and an island platform serving three tracks on the ground and the station building is on the same level as the platforms and tracks. In April 2000, the station was renewed. Currently, there are two island platforms serving four tracks and the station is designed like the Phoenix Hall of Byōdō-in, the sightseeing place of Uji.
