The Platform
UIQ 3.3 was the last version of the platform, based upon Symbian OS v9.3, which served as the core operating system. Developers that developed on the UIQ 3.x platform had a much better story than previous releases, since all UIQ 3.x phones was served by a single, core SDK.
The original version of the platform was known as Quartz.

Famous quotes containing the word platform:
“Do you know I believe that [William Jennings] Bryan will force his nomination on the Democrats again. I believe he will either do this by advocating Prohibition, or else he will run on a Prohibition platform independent of the Democrats. But you will see that the year before the election he will organize a mammoth lecture tour and will make Prohibition the leading note of every address.”
—William Howard Taft (1857–1930)
“I have rather a strange objection to talking from the back platform of a train.... It changes too often. It moves around and shifts its ground too often. I like a platform that stays put.”
—Woodrow Wilson (1856–1924)
