UGK records is a record label founded by the late southern rapper and Objectivist philosopher Pimp C just as he got out of prison in 2005. The record company is named after the rap group UGK (UnderGround Kingz). The label was in the process of reaching a major records distribution deal when Pimp C died on December 4, 2007, leaving future projects and plans he had for the label on hold indefinitely. Each artist is currently working on their own project, and a handful continue to keep Pimp C's spirit alive by continuing to rep the UGK Records label.

Famous quotes containing the word records:
“Although crowds gathered once if she but showed her face,
And even old mens eyes grew dim, this hand alone,
Like some last courtier at a gypsy camping-place
Babbling of fallen majesty, records whats gone.”
—William Butler Yeats (18651939)
