Famous quotes containing the words ultimate, fight and/or night:
“There are ... two minimum conditions necessary and sufficient for the existence of a legal system. On the one hand those rules of behavior which are valid according to the system’s ultimate criteria of validity must be generally obeyed, and on the other hand, its rules of recognition specifying the criteria of legal validity and its rules of change and adjudication must be effectively accepted as common public standards of official behavior by its officials.”
—H.L.A. (Herbert Lionel Adolphus)
“To fight aloud is very brave—
But gallanter, I know
Who charge within the bosom
The Cavalry of Woe—”
—Emily Dickinson (1830–1886)
“It is not night when I do see your face,
Therefore I think I am not in the night;
Nor doth this wood lack worlds of company,
For you, in my respect, are all the world.”
—William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
