UBuildIt is a private corporation established in 1988. Founder Chuck Warrender's idea was to create a consulting firm to help people save money by facilitating and managing the construction of their own homes. Warrender's concept for this company was to use his knowledge of the construction industry to guide an inexperienced first-time builder to become his or her own general contractor.
After spending nine years developing a system, Warrender gave his company the UBuildIt title, and in 1998 decided to nationally franchise his system. The premise of the system is each UBuildIt franchise receives training on how to use Warrender's construction manual, a systematic advising plan for each phase of construction. Sold in May 2011 to Bob Braudrick out of Oklahoma City, OK; Bob is now the President of UBuildIt Holdings, LLC
