Famous quotes containing the words turner, sports and/or iii:

    O shining Popocatapetl, It was thy magic hour:

    The houses, people, traffic seemed
    Thin fading dreams by day;
    Chimborazo, Cotopaxi
    They had stolen my soul away!
    —Walter James Turner (1889–1946)

What’s the message when an athlete who works at keeping her body fit is sponsored by a sugar-filled snack that does more harm than good?
    Martina Navratilova (b. 1956)

    The Empress is Legitimist, my cousin is Republican, Morny is Orleanist, I am a socialist; the only Bonapartist is Persigny, and he is mad.
    —Napoleon Bonaparte III (1808–1873)
