Weightlifting
Weightlifting had some medal potential for Tunisia, but it was unrealized, as Sbai failed to post a valid lift in the Men's 69 kg, and Sassi had the best finish of Tunisia's whole delegation at 4th in the 63 kg division. Sassi was not particularly close to a medal, though, as even if she had made the maximum weight she attempted in each portion, she would have placed 4th.
Men's 69 kg:

Sbai missed all three of his attempts at a 147.5 kg Snatch, which would have placed him 4th in that portion.
Women's 63 kg:
- Hayet Sassi
- 215.0 kg (95.0 kg Snatch, 120.0 Clean & Jerk, 4th overall)
