Integrated Skills in English (ISE)
Integrated Skills in English examinations (ISE) assess all four language skills - Speaking, Writing, Listening and Reading – interacting with each other as they do in the real world making them suitable assessments for many business and academic organisations. There are five ISE levels – ISE 0, ISE I, ISE II, ISE III, ISE IV.
ISE is accepted by academic institutions in the UK as evidence of English language proficiency for International students.
Learners can choose to take ISE exams on their own or combine them with the spoken grades (GESE) as they progress in their English language abilities.

Famous quotes containing the words integrated, skills and/or english:
“Science is intimately integrated with the whole social structure and cultural tradition. They mutually support one otheronly in certain types of society can science flourish, and conversely without a continuous and healthy development and application of science such a society cannot function properly.”
—Talcott Parsons (19021979)
“Many women are reluctant to allow men to enter their domain. They dont want men to acquire skills in what has traditionally been their area of competence and one of their main sources of self-esteem. So while they complain about the males unwillingness to share in domestic duties, they continually push the male out when he moves too confidently into what has previously been their exclusive world.”
—Bettina Arndt (20th century)
“We admire Chaucer for his sturdy English wit.... But though it is full of good sense and humanity, it is not transcendent poetry. For picturesque description of persons it is, perhaps, without a parallel in English poetry; yet it is essentially humorous, as the loftiest genius never is.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
