Trinity College Harp - Replicas

Replicas

In 2003, two very faithful replicas created from detailed measurements of the original were made by David Kortier of Duluth, MN. These two harps are strung with gold and silver wire strings in the bass in order to overcome the slack stringing the short bass string lengths would have demanded from lighter metals. They are strung in brass in the mid and treble ranges. They are played by harpers Ann Heymann and Siobhán Armstrong. David Kortier also makes student replicas, which are available from the Historical Harp Society of Ireland.
