Concept Criticism
Kirk Sorensen of Flibe Energy has criticized the TWR as "a particularly difficult implementation" of the fast breeder reactor, which he characterizes as "already hard to build in the first place", as well as for plans for its eventual nuclear decommissioning. Dr. Robert Hargraves, who is on the Flibe Energy Board of Advisors, lauded the goal of addressing energy poverty globally with the TWR, but briefly highlighted that its projected cost of energy production, "competitive with nuclear power", wasn't as low as fossil fuels (e.g. coal).

Famous quotes containing the words concept and/or criticism:
“The nearer a conception comes towards finality, the nearer does the dynamic relation, out of which this concept has arisen, draw to a close. To know is to lose.”
—D.H. (David Herbert)
“I hold with the old-fashioned criticism that Browning is not really a poet, that he has all the gifts but the one needful and the pearls without the string; rather one should say raw nuggets and rough diamonds.”
—Gerard Manley Hopkins (18441889)
