WBTV of Charlotte has reported on three floods and elevator problems in the one year-old building, raising concern over the quality of construction. Repairs for the June 3rd, 2008, flood (reported on June 4) that were promised to the flood victims by management company Duvall have, as of August 1, 2008, yet to take place. Victims of the prior floods complained about Duvall's lack of responsiveness. TradeMark was builder Boulevard Centro's first major high-rise building construction project.

TradeMark has once again suffered yet another flood. This flood nic-named the "Thanksgiving Flood" has reportedly damaged several more high-rise homes. The flood was again faulty plumbing and the exact cause has not been released, although it is reported that the flood originated on the tenth floor of this modern high-rise and caused havoc to as many a five floors below. A statement has not been released by David Furman or the buildings management company. Although, WBTV reports the residents of The TradeMark are considering a class-action suit.

Famous quotes containing the words news and/or stories:

Fashion is primitive in its insistence on exhibitionism, which withers in isolation. The catwalk fashion show with its incandescent hype is its apotheosis. A ritualized gathering of connoiseurs and the spoilt at a spotlit parade of snazzy pulchritude, it is an industrialized version of the pagan festivals of renewal. At the end of each seasonal display, a priesthood is enjoined to carry news of the omens to the masses.
    Stephen Bayley (b. 1951)

The return of the asymmetrical Saturday was one of those small events that were interior, local, almost civic and which, in tranquil lives and closed societies, create a sort of national bond and become the favorite theme of conversation, of jokes and of stories exaggerated with pleasure: it would have been a ready- made seed for a legendary cycle, had any of us leanings toward the epic.
    Marcel Proust (1871–1922)
