The titular island of the Gorillaz album Plastic Beach is said to be based on Tracy Island in a 'making of' documentary.
A song by the Arctic Monkeys entitled "R U Mine" makes reference to the island as well. The song mentions 'puppets on a string', referring to the Thunderbirds characters, after which it mentions Tracy Island.
