Orchard Fresh
In November 2012, Tops Markets announced that it will be creating a second grocery chain. Orchard Fresh specializes in upscale, natural, and organic foods. It also has an emphasis on health and wellness. The first store debuted at the Orchard Park Plaza in Orchard Park, NY on April 14, 2013. This plaza was home to a former supermarket. The new Orchard Fresh store is 18,000 sq. ft. in size, which is a smaller footprint compared to most of the traditional Tops stores. If successful, Orchard Fresh could expand into other areas.
