Kokutetsu and Sankei Era(1950-1968)
The franchise was established for the first time in 1950 when the team was created by the owners of former Japanese National Railways. The team name was decided to be Kokutetsu Swallows. In 1961, the team ended up being 3rd in the league for first time in their team history.
