“I am so tired of taking to others
translating my life for the deaf, the blind,

to live it white women
the I want to live my white life with Third World womens style and keep my skin
class privileges dykes”

“While you are divided from us by geographical lines, which are imaginary, and by a language which is not the same, you have not come to an alien people or land. In the realm of the heart, in the domain of the mind, there are no geographical lines dividing the nations.”

“Child of Light! thy limbs are burning
Through the vest which seems to hide them;
As the radiant lines of morning
Through the clouds ere they divide them;
And this atmosphere divinest
Shrouds thee wheresoeer thou shinest.”
—Percy Bysshe Shelley (17921822)
