Famous quotes containing the words tokyo, red and/or hood:

Eclecticism is the degree zero of contemporary general culture: one listens to reggae, watches a western, eats McDonald’s food for lunch and local cuisine for dinner, wears Paris perfume in Tokyo and “retro” clothes in Hong Kong; knowledge is a matter for TV games. It is easy to find a public for eclectic works.
    Jean François Lyotard (b. 1924)

    Her breasts under her gown
    are cold,
    for a flower has grown,
    murex-red
    on the red gown.
    Hilda Doolittle (1886–1961)

A yeman hadde he and servantz namo
At that tyme, for hym liste ride so,
And he was clad in cote and hood of grene.
    Geoffrey Chaucer (1340?–1400)
