Timerider: The Adventure of Lyle Swann - DVD Release With Alternate Version

DVD Release With Alternate Version

Two brief scenes were cut from the above theatrical version for the 2001 Anchor Bay Entertainment DVD release:

  • The scene where the time experiment scientists pinpoint Swann's exact day in the past as being November 5, 1877 is missing.
  • The scene where Reese is struck by the rescue helicopter's tail rotor, leaving only his sheared off, bloody feet and boots is missing. Instead, the original sound effects remain, and a shot of Reese cowering on the ground is inserted.

As of April 2011, the original theatrical version is currently available as a rental from Netflix. Both versions cite a 93-minute running time.

Shout! Factory announced they would be releasing the film on Blu-ray on March 19, 2013.

Famous quotes containing the words release, alternate and/or version:

We read poetry because the poets, like ourselves, have been haunted by the inescapable tyranny of time and death; have suffered the pain of loss, and the more wearing, continuous pain of frustration and failure; and have had moods of unlooked-for release and peace. They have known and watched in themselves and others.
    Elizabeth Drew (1887–1965)

I alternate between reading cook books and reading diet books.
    Mason Cooley (b. 1927)

Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm; therefore the LORD your God commanded you to keep the sabbath day.
    Bible: Hebrew, Deuteronomy 5:15.

See Exodus 22:8 for a different version of this fourth commandment.
