Famous quotes containing the words thomas, jerome and/or welsh:

I see you boys of summer in your ruin.
    Man in his maggot’s barren.
And boys are full and foreign in the pouch.
I am the man your father was.
We are the sons of flint and pitch.
O see the poles are kissing as they cross.
    —Dylan Thomas (1914–1953)

The shy man does have some slight revenge upon society for the torture it inflicts upon him. He is able, to a certain extent, to communicate his misery. Jerome K. Jerome (1859–1927)

    The populations of Pwllheli, Criccieth,
    Portmadoc, Borth, Tremadoc, Penrhyndeudraeth,
Were all assembled. Criccieth’s mayor addressed them
First in good Welsh and then in fluent English,
    Robert Graves (1895–1985)
