The Young and the Hopeless is the second full-length studio album by Good Charlotte, released on October 1, 2002 through Daylight Records. It received positive reviews and contained some of their best known songs including, "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous," "The Anthem," and "Girls and Boys." As of July 2012, it had sold over 3,464,000 copies in the US.
