A major restoration of the original opulent interior and renovation took place in 2003 and The Wolseley opened as a restaurant in November 2003 as an all-day Grand European café. Since it opened its doors, it has received many accolades including Zagat (Google) Favourite restaurant 2012 and 2013 Observer Food Monthly Best breakfast 2005 and 2009 Tatler Restaurant of the Year 2007 Harper & Moet Restaurant of the Year 2004

The Wolseley restaurant was created by Chris Corbin and Jeremy King who were behind the renewed fame and success of Le Caprice (opened by Mario Gallati in 1947), The Ivy (by Abel Giandellin, c. 1917) and J. Sheekey (Josef Sheekey, 1896). In December 2011, they opened The Delaunay on the corner of The Aldwych and Drury Lane which has won "New Restaurant of the Year 2012" from both Tatler and Time Out.
