In a Quillan Games podcast interview, it was mentioned that Blok may be a rather dramatized version of a real company. Although it remains unclear exactly which company Blok mirrors, some has hypothesized that this company is no other than Wal-Mart because Bobby mentions that one logo was a yellow smiley face—the Rollback logo of Wal-Mart. In the Quillan Games the society resembles a totalitarian society except that everything is controlled by a company rather than a government.
