The discography of "Weird Al" Yankovic, an American singer-songwriter and parodist, consists of thirteen studio albums (including one collaborative album), one soundtrack album, ten compilation albums, nine video albums, three extended plays, forty-six singles and forty-six music videos. Since his first-aired comedy song in 1976, he has sold more than 12 million albums—more than any other comedy act in history—recorded more than 150 parody and original songs, and performed more than 1,000 live shows. His works have earned him three Grammy Awards among nine nominations, four gold records, and six platinum records in the United States.

Yankovic's debut single, "My Bologna", was released in 1979. He made his chart debut with his second single, "Another One Rides the Bus", which peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart. His self-titled debut studio album was released on Scotti Brothers Records in April 1983. It peaked at number 16 on the US Billboard 200 and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). "Ricky", the album's third single, became his first single to chart on the US Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 64 on the chart. "Weird Al" Yankovic in 3-D, his second studio album, was released in February 1984. It peaked at number 17 on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the RIAA, while also charting in Australia and Canada. The album's lead single, "Eat It", peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified gold by the RIAA. It became Yankovic's first single to chart in international markets, becoming a number-one hit in Australia and peaking at number 5 in Canada. The album's second and third singles, "King of Suede" and "I Lost on Jeopardy", peaked at numbers 62 and 81 on the Hot 100 respectively. Dare to Be Stupid, his third studio album, was released in June 1985 and peaked at number 17 on the Billboard 200. The album spawned six singles, including "Like a Surgeon", which peaked at number 47 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was a top 40 hit in Australia and Canada.

Polka Party!, his fourth studio album, was released in October 1986. Peaking at number 177 on the Billboard 200, the album and its accompanying singles failed to match the commercial success of Yankovic's previous work. His fifth studio album, Even Worse, performed better commercially, peaking at number 27 on the Billboard 200 and being certified gold by the RIAA. It also spawned the single "Fat", which peaked at number 99 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became a top 15 hit in Australia. In 1989, Yankovic starred in and recorded the soundtrack for the 1989 film UHF. The soundtrack album was released in July 1989, peaking at number 146 on the Billboard 200. The album Peter and the Wolf, a collaboration with American composer Wendy Carlos, was released in October 1988. Off the Deep End, Yankovic's seventh studio album, was released in April 1992. Alapalooza, his eighth studio album, was released in March 1996. The album peaked at number 46 on the Billboard 200, but produced no charting singles. Famous quotes containing the words official, music and/or weird:

Well, on the official record you’re my son. But on this post you’re just another trooper. You heard me tell the recruits what I need from them. Twice that I will expect from you.... You’ve chosen my way of life. I hope you have the guts enough to endure it. But put outa your mind any romantic ideas that it’s a way to glory. It’s a life of suffering and of hardship and uncompromising devotion to your oath and your duty.
James Kevin McGuinness, and John Ford. Lt. Col. Kirby Yorke (John Wayne)

    For I have learned
To look on nature, not as in the hour
Of thoughtless youth, but hearing oftentimes
The still, sad music of humanity.
    William Wordsworth (1770–1850)

Pregnant women! They had that weird frisson, an aura of magic that combined awkwardly with an earthy sense of duty. Mundane, because they were nothing unique on the suburban streets; ethereal because their attention was ever somewhere else. Whatever you said was trivial. And they had that preciousness which they imposed wherever they went, compelling attention, constantly reminding you that they carried the future inside, its contours already drawn, but veiled, private, an inner secret.
    Ruth Morgan (1920–1978)
