The Mistmantle Chronicles, by M. I. McAllister, are a series of books about anthropomorphic animals which feature the life of a pale, honey-colored Eurasian red squirrel named Urchin. The first book in The Mistmantle Chronicles, Urchin of the Riding Stars was published by Bloomsbury Publishing in 2005.
