Editorial Board
The Manitoban's Editorial Board meets on a weekly basis during the publishing season, deems what is fit to print in the paper and debates issues of policy. It is made up of editors, and two temporary members of the non-editorial staff, who are rotated out after three meetings. The EiC is the chair of the Editorial Board, but only votes in the event of a tie.

Famous quotes containing the words editorial and/or board:
“I have been in the editorial business going on fourteen years, and it is the first time I ever heard of a mans having to know anything in order to edit a newspaper.”
—Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (18351910)
“What happens in a strike happens not to one person alone.... It is a crisis with meaning and potency for all and prophetic of a future. The elements in crisis are the same, there is a fermentation that is identical. The elements are these: a body of men, women and children, hungry; an organization of feudal employers out to break the back of unionization; and the government Labor Board sent to negotiate between this hunger and this greed.”
—Meridel Le Sueur (b. 1900)
