The Hedge Fund Journal - Features

Features

Each issue typically consists of a selection of feature articles (generally profiles of notable individuals or firms within the industry) and a mixture of original and contributed research, opinion and legal pieces, as well as strategy commentary provided by prominent hedge fund managers.

One of the publication's most notable features is its annual research table ranking the top 50 European hedge fund managers, The Europe 50. Firms are ranked by assets under management at the time of publication. 2012 saw the publication of the 7th edition of the ranking. The journal also produces similar reports for the US and Asia.

Annual people-focused features include The 50 Leading Women In Hedge Funds, and Tomorrow's Titans, which compiles a list of up-and-coming figures within the hedge fund industry.

Famous quotes containing the word features:

The features of our face are hardly more than gestures which force of habit made permanent. Nature, like the destruction of Pompeii, like the metamorphosis of a nymph into a tree, has arrested us in an accustomed movement.
    Marcel Proust (1871–1922)

All visible objects, man, are but as pasteboard masks. But in each event—in the living act, the undoubted deed—there, some unknown but still reasoning thing puts forth the mouldings of its features from behind the unreasoning mask. If man will strike, strike through the mask!
    Herman Melville (1819–1891)

    “It looks as if
Some pallid thing had squashed its features flat
And its eyes shut with overeagerness
To see what people found so interesting
In one another, and had gone to sleep
Of its own stupid lack of understanding,
Or broken its white neck of mushroom stuff
Short off, and died against the windowpane.”
    Robert Frost (1874–1963)
