Sequels and Remakes
A sequel, Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2, was released in the autumn of 2000, but was poorly received by most critics. A third installment announced that same year did not materialize. In late 2009, director Stacy Hopkins was scheduled to start the shooting of the Scottish remake, The Blair Witch. Since that time, no additional information has been released. In October 1999, Cartoon Network made a Scooby-Doo parody called The Scooby Doo Project.
