  • A red team placement indicates that the team was eliminated.
  • An underlined blue team placement indicates that the team was the last to arrive at a pit stop in a non-elimination leg of the race. The teams were forced to relinquish all of their money. In addition, they were not allotted money for the next leg and were not allowed to collect money until the next leg started for them.
  • A green ƒ indicates that the team won a Fast Forward clue.
  • A yellow > indicates that the team chose to use the Yield; < indicates the team who received it. A <> around a leg number indicates there was a Yield available but not used.
  • Italicized results indicate the position of the team at the midpoint of a two-episode leg.
  1. ^ Freddy & Kendra initially arrived 6th, but they were issued a 30-minute penalty for taking an extra clue after the Viking ship task, stated to take only one clue from the cluebox per each team. Adam & Rebecca and Don & Mary Jean checked in during their penalty time, dropping them to 8th.
  2. ^ Don & Mary Jean had arrived in 7th place in Leg 2, but they mistakenly drove the car that belonged to Adam & Rebecca. They left in 8th place at the beginning of Leg 3 after they were issued a 30-minute penalty, while Freddy & Kendra now departed in 7th place.
  3. ^ Lena & Kristy failed to complete the Roadblock in Leg 3. After more than 2 hours passed since the last team checked in at the mat and over 10 hours of searching, Phil came out to the Roadblock location and eliminated them.
  4. ^ Leg 6 was double-length, with two Detours and two Roadblocks, shown over two episodes. The placements listed in the first column reflect the order teams arrived at the leg's halfway point. The leg's Fast Forward was offered after the halfway mark, and thus permitted Lori & Bolo to skip only the second set of challenges.
  5. ^ Hayden & Aaron initially arrived 3rd, just ahead of Adam & Rebecca, but were issued a 4-hour penalty for quitting the Roadblock. Both Rebecca and Hayden almost had to quit the Roadblock because the last gondola down the mountain was about to leave; however, at the time Rebecca opened her lock and successfully completed the Roadblock, they checked in during the penalty time, thereby dropping Hayden & Aaron to last place; which resulted in their elimination.

Famous quotes containing the word results:

Consider what you have in the smallest chosen library. A company of the wisest and wittiest men that could be picked out of all civil countries in a thousand years have set in best order the results of their learning and wisdom. The men themselves were hid and inaccessible, solitary, impatient of interruption, fenced by etiquette; but the thought which they did not uncover in their bosom friend is here written out in transparent words to us, the strangers of another age.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

It amazes me when I hear any person prefer blindness to deafness. Such a person must have a terrible dread of being alone. Blindness makes one totally dependent on others, and deprives us of every satisfaction that results from light.
    Horace Walpole (1717–1797)

There is not a single rule, however plausible, and however firmly grounded in epistemology, that is not violated at some time or other. It becomes evident that such violations are not accidental events, they are not results of insufficient knowledge or of inattention which might have been avoided. On the contrary, we see that they are necessary for progress.
    Paul Feyerabend (1924–1994)
