The Actors' Gang - Actor Training

Actor Training

Actor training courses are held at the theater several times a year in 8-week periods. Interested actors should mail or drop off a headshot, resume, and cover letter describing why they are interested in training with the gang. The cover letter should talk about what shows the applicant has seen at the theater and what aspects of the ensemble attracted the applicant to consider training.

Famous quotes containing the words actor and/or training:

The actor who lets the dust accumulate on his Ibsen, his Shakspere [sic], and his Bible, but pores greedily over every little column of theatrical news, is a lost soul.
    Minnie Maddern Fiske (1865–1932)

The area [of toilet training] is one where a child really does possess the power to defy. Strong pressure leads to a powerful struggle. The issue then is not toilet training but who holds the reins—mother or child? And the child has most of the ammunition!
    Dorothy Corkville Briggs (20th century)
