Actor Training
Actor training courses are held at the theater several times a year in 8-week periods. Interested actors should mail or drop off a headshot, resume, and cover letter describing why they are interested in training with the gang. The cover letter should talk about what shows the applicant has seen at the theater and what aspects of the ensemble attracted the applicant to consider training.

Famous quotes containing the words actor and/or training:
“An actor rides in a bus or railroad train; he sees a movement and applies it to a new role. A woman in agony of spirit might turn her head just so; a man in deep humiliation probably would wring his hands in such a way. From straws like these, drawn from completely different sources, the fabric of a character may be built. The whole garment in which the actor hides himself is made of small externals of observation fitted to his conception of a role.”
—Eleanor Robson Belmont (18781979)
“Perhaps the most valuable result of all education is the ability to make yourself do the thing you have to do, when it ought to be done, whether you like it or not; it is the first lesson that ought to be learned; and however early a mans training begins, its probably the last lesson that he learns thoroughly.”
—Thomas Henry Huxley (182595)
