Texas (TV series)

Texas is an American daytime soap opera which aired on NBC from August 4, 1980 until December 31, 1982. Created by John William Corrington, Joyce Hooper Corrington, and Paul Rauch, the show is a spinoff of Another World. It is the first daytime soap opera to air hour-long episodes from its inception, as all the other hour-long soaps airing at the time had expanded from thirty minutes.

Texas was used as a starring vehicle for Beverlee McKinsey, whose Another World character was made the focal point of the series. However, she left Texas within a year of its debut and the show never found any ratings success.
