Teodoro Maniaci - The Brotherhood

The Brotherhood

In August 2007, Maniaci finished filming a new series for the Showtime television network. The Providence Journal editorialized on the production of Brotherhood as follows:

The production of Showtime's The Brotherhood has enlivened Providence streets on and off for months.... An occasional loss of parking spaces to film crews and tax dollars for incentives to bring them here sets some teeth to grinding, but few don't feel the tingle of curiosity when approaching one of those star trailers.... Movies mean money, and film festivals lubricate our celloid (sic) culture in preparation for more. —Editorial, Our own little Hollywood, The Providence Journal August 22, 2007, p. B 4, see.

Famous quotes containing the word brotherhood:

I believe in the brotherhood of man, all men, but I don’t believe in brotherhood with anybody who doesn’t want brotherhood with me. I believe in treating people right, but I’m not going to waste my time trying to treat somebody right who doesn’t know how to return the treatment.
    Malcolm X (1925–1965)

Italy is such a delightful place to live in if you happen to be a man. There one may enjoy that exquisite luxury of Socialism—that true Socialism which is based not on equality of income or character, but on the equality of manners. In the democracy of the caffè or the street the great question of our life has been solved, and the brotherhood of man is a reality. But it is accomplished at the expense of the sisterhood of women.
