Teenage Whore - Release

Release

The single was released on City Slang records in Europe in August 1991 to promote Pretty on the Inside, and entered the UK Indie Chart at number 1 in September. On The Chart Show, the song's title was censored, with the word "whore" being replaced with ellipsis.

The single was available on 7" vinyl as well as compact disc, and marked the band's first CD release; all their prior singles had been released solely on vinyl. It featured b-sides "Drown Soda" and "Burn Black", which was also featured as a b-side on the band's 1991 Sub Pop release, "Dicknail".

Famous quotes containing the word release:

The near touch of death may be a release into life; if only it will break the egoistic will, and release that other flow.
    —D.H. (David Herbert)

The shallow consider liberty a release from all law, from every constraint. The wise man sees in it, on the contrary, the potent Law of Laws.
    Walt Whitman (1819–1892)

As nature requires whirlwinds and cyclones to release its excessive force in a violent revolt against its own existence, so the spirit requires a demonic human being from time to time whose excessive strength rebels against the community of thought and the monotony of morality ... only by looking at those beyond its limits does humanity come to know its own utmost limits.
    Stefan Zweig (18811942)
