History
Tec Voc was founded in the 1950s by the Winnipeg School Division with the goal of creating the top technical high school in the province of Manitoba.
Over the past few years some changes at Tec Voc have occurred. Some of these changes include: Moving to a 5 period day, the addition of a cheerleading squad, the introduction of 21⁄2 credits at the grade 9 level. The two courses are a portfolio program where Tec Voc students learn many of the skills that they will need upon entering the workforce, and an Information Technology course.

Famous quotes containing the word history:
“Let us not underrate the value of a fact; it will one day flower in a truth. It is astonishing how few facts of importance are added in a century to the natural history of any animal. The natural history of man himself is still being gradually written.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“To history therefore I must refer for answer, in which it would be an unhappy passage indeed, which should shew by what fatal indulgence of subordinate views and passions, a contest for an atom had defeated well founded prospects of giving liberty to half the globe.”
—Thomas Jefferson (17431826)
“The greatest horrors in the history of mankind are not due to the ambition of the Napoleons or the vengeance of the Agamemnons, but to the doctrinaire philosophers. The theories of the sentimentalist Rousseau inspired the integrity of the passionless Robespierre. The cold-blooded calculations of Karl Marx led to the judicial and business-like operations of the Cheka.”
—Aleister Crowley (18751947)
