Tarlac City
The City of Tarlac is a first class city in the province of Tarlac, Philippines. Tarlac provincial capitol building is shown on the back of the Philippines 500 peso note that features former Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. According to the 2010 census, Tarlac City has a population of 318,332 people.
The city has been proclaimed as one of the recently declared Highly-Urbanized cities in the Philippines under the power of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo but the decision was opposed by the provincial government.
