Use As An Event Venue
As structural inspections and maintenance works had been carried out and completed before 25 April 2012, the former station building was reused as an event venue with a fashion show as the first event or it could be made into a museum. However, there is no news to whether the former station will be opened to the public like the former station at Bukit Timah despite the SLA had made press coverages stating that they will open the building and platforms for public recreational usage after inspections and works on the building had been done. This is suggested to be made into a Singapore Railway Museum along Keppel Road.
