At the present time, Tamkang University has accomplished the framework of "One Great University, Four Distinct Campuses." Under the management of "Market Model," academic or course arrangements must be flexible, employing as its nucleus the four strategies: "differentiation," "individualization," "focus," and "globalization."

• Tamsui Campus is an American style research university, called "The City of Intellect," laying equal emphasis on both instruction and research and devoted to both master's and doctoral programs.
• Taipei Campus is "The Sea of Knowledge Navigator" mainly rendering such services as lifelong education and extension education as well as offering degrees, credit and non-credit courses to on-the-job people.
• Lanyang Campus is "The Garden of Wisdom," adopts the Oxbridge residential undergraduate education, uses English as the language of course instruction, and will not set up any graduate program at the present stage.
• Cyber Campus is "The Space of Knowledge Explorer," which provides students with flexible education at any time any place. In addition to the E-Learning Executive Master's Program in Educational Technology that was established for on-the-job students in the 2006-2007 academic year, in the 2007-2008 academic year an E-Learning Executive Master's Program in Global Chinese Business Management for on-the-job overseas Chinese businessmen around the world is currently recruiting in-coming students－a pioneering task in the field of e-learning among domestic universities.

The four campuses each have their own specific functions of research, instruction, and services respectively. Furthermore, a cross-disciplinary or multi-disciplinary curriculum will be designed; especially at the cyber campus, a more well-rounded curriculum will be designed according to the demands of students, who have different backgrounds. And the teaching resources of the four campuses can still be integrated under one system, focusing on either several academic fields that have special features or research centers, so as to uplift the competitive capability of Tamkang university as a whole, and, moreover, to accomplish its goal of globalization by utilizing educational technology.
