Tamil Nadu Peasants and Workers Party

Tamil Nadu Peasants and Workers Party (Tamil: தமிழ்நாடு விவசாயிகள் தொழிலாளர் கட்சி, TNPWP) is a political party in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The president of TNPWP is Pon Kumar. TNPWP supported the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) for 22 years, but the alliance broke down ahead of the 2006 Tamil Nadu assembly election. Famous quotes containing the words peasants, workers and/or party:

It would not be an easy thing to bring the water all the way to the plain. They would have to organize a great coumbite with all the peasants and the water would unite them once again, its fresh breath would clear away the fetid stink of anger and hatred; the brotherly community would be reborn with new plants, the fields filled with to bursting with fruits and grains, the earth gorged with life, simple and fertile.
    Jacques Roumain (1907–1945)

If the technology cannot shoulder the entire burden of strategic change, it nevertheless can set into motion a series of dynamics that present an important challenge to imperative control and the industrial division of labor. The more blurred the distinction between what workers know and what managers know, the more fragile and pointless any traditional relationships of domination and subordination between them will become.
    Shoshana Zuboff (b. 1951)

It is well-known what a middleman is: he is a man who bamboozles one party and plunders the other.
    Benjamin Disraeli (1804–1881)
