Taihoku Prefecture

Taihoku Prefecture (Kanji: 臺北州, Kana: たいほくしゅう, Rōmaji: Taihokushū) was an administrative division of Taiwan created in 1920, during the Japanese rule. The prefecture consisted of modern day Keelung City, New Taipei City, Taipei City and Yilan County. Its office, which is now occupied by the Control Yuan of Taiwan, was in Taipei City.
