The Fifth has been adapted many times to other genres. Examples include:

• "The 5th," a progressive rock adaptation by Ekseption
• "A Fifth of Beethoven," a disco adaptation by Walter Murphy
• "Voices of Victory," a choral adaptation arranged by Julia Smith with lyrics by Josephine Fetter Royle
• Fantasia 2000 features a shortened version of the first movement at the opening.
• Electric Light Orchestra's version of Roll Over Beethoven, which incorporates the motif and elements from the first movement into a classic rock and roll song by Chuck Berry
