Famous quotes containing the words swift and/or morgan:

And DANTE searched the triple spheres,
    Moulding nature at his will,
So shaped, so colored, swift or still,
    And, sculptor-like, his large design
    Etched on Alp and Apennine.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

The subtlest and most vicious aspect of women’s oppression is that we have been conditioned to believe we are not oppressed, blinded so as not to see our own condition.
    —Robin Morgan (b. 1941)
