Supertone Records

Supertone Records was a United States record label of the 1920s. Supertone Records were marketed by Sears, Roebuck & Co.

Supertone was one of several record disc brand names marketed by Sears.

Supertone records were made by the Fletcher Record Company. The discs produced by Fletcher included Midwestern dance bands. In the mid 1920s Fletcher failed and Bridgeport Die & Machine Company began producing Supertone discs.

Sears did not register the Supertone brand name, and after Sears discontinued marketing the records, Straus & Schram used the name.

Sears did reclaim and remarket the brand again in the late 1920s. They contracted production to Brunswick Radio Corporation

Famous quotes containing the word records:

“My confessions are shameless. I confess, but do not repent. The fact is, my confessions are prompted, not by ethical motives, but intellectual. The confessions are to me the interesting records of a self-investigator.”
